This week we have begun our new topic: Myself and my community.

Activities this week have included:

• drawing self portraits for our learning journeys
• lots of name recognition and mark makin
• creating a hair colour chart and eye colour chart to note similarities and differences
• making paper plate faces
• lots of measuring and pouring in our water area
• investigating natural objects outside
• reading in our wicker den
• singing and making music with the instruments outside
• Building giant models with our giant duplo
• painting pictures, drawing and making sun catchers for the garden out of old CDs
• listening to stories
• playing phonics rhyming games (the older children)

PLEASE NOTE:
Please make sure your child has a named sunhat and has suncream applied before they come to playgroup. For those children staying all day we will reapply suncream at lunchtime.
