Weekly Blog: 21st June 2019
Chesterton PlaygroupThis week we have had the weekly theme of reinforcing personal safety

Activities this week have included:
  • a circle time based on what to do if there was a fire and completing fire drills
  • creating fire pictures on black paper
  • a circle time based on road safety and we did lots of practicing crossing the road
  • a circle time based on personal hygiene, sharing glittery hands to show how germs can spread
  • creating glittery pictures
  • a circle time based on safer strangers and talking about who can help us *reinforcing our pouring, spooning and measuring skills with oats
  • using our emotion stones to discuss emotions with the children
  • using junk modelling resources to create lovely models with our volunteer Amy
  • changing our resources over to match the childrens interest
  • having a successful afternoon session with the children who are moving up to Chesterton Primary school on Friday when the foundation stage teacher Mrs Leonard came to visit


PLEASE NOTE:
If we are lucky enough to have sunshine next week please apply to your child in the morning before they arrive and we will top them up with suncream at lunchtime
