This week the children have continued their festive fun.

The activities we have participated in have included:
  • making cards, calendars and christmas craft 8lots of independent reading
  • making up stories, listening to stories and having questions about them afterwards to encourage understanding story structure, plot, settings and characters
  • a lot of singing Christmas songs
  • a lot of festive dancing
  • rhyming games and songs
  • making Christmas pictures
  • maths games
  • phonics one games
  • playing board games and completing jigsaws
  • lots of outside games
  • learning about how children celebrate Christmas around the world

The childrens made up a group story:
Once upon a time there was a snowman, he froze in the snow and shrunk. The snowman is broken by the wind and a fireman built him again. The fireman is called Mr Builder and he named the snowman 'chocolate snowman'. They go to the forest and build a tepee and the owls and crocodiles come. Next the shark comes and he is wearing sequins! The shark and the snowman are in a race to treasure island, the snowman is in the lead and wins! The next day the snowman walks in the forest and sees a bear in a tunnel, the bear could smell the snowman and went to say hello. The snowman and the bear are friends and walk together, they found a bad queen and a fairy. They all walk home together and dinner is ready. The end.

Please don't forget that we are rasing funds for new resources by raffling prizes and Christmas hampers. Please buy your ticket now. £1 a strip.

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.

We are looking forward to seeing you all next week. Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah, Jackie and Amy
