Weekly Blog: 6th to 10th October 2025
This week we have focused on maths with lots of fun games and activities.
Activities we have enjoyed include, alongside other child initiated activities:
- learning about Sukkot and making tent pictures
- enjoying our role play post office and also drawing pictures and posting letters
- we have sung number songs and finger rhymes *outside we have been riding bikes and scooters
- we have developed fine motor skills by doing pencil control activities
- every day we have been doing phonic activities and maths number games and number recognition
- we matched pompoms with tweezers to number cards on our tuff tray
- we have enjoyed doing lots of puzzles
- playing small world with our train set
- we compared amounts of objects looking at more and less
- enjoyed lots of mark making
- we have sung lots of rhymes and enjoyed dancing the children have continued to enjoy drawing, making pictures with glue and stickers and painting
- listened to story cds
- made ice cream number cone pictures
- compared sizes of objects, big and small
- looked at objects that were heavy and light and compared them
- ordered pumpkin pictures into size order
- made a height chart
- looked at patterns, matching them and making them
- completed repeating patterns with lego bricks
- make handprint repeating pattern pictures
- matching pattern pictures *lots of counting objects and pictures
- lots of counting games and songs
