Weekly Blog: 10th February 2023
Chesterton PlaygroupThis week we have continued to focus on the topic: The unique child. Our secondary topic has been: Being kind and Valentines. We have:

  • talked about who we love
  • talked about how we feel and looked at emotion cards and facial expressions in mirrors
  • made valentines collages
  • painted with duplo bricks
  • matched numeral to quantity on our number tuff tray
  • enjoyed mark making and developed emergent writing skills on our valentines cards tuff tray
  • played lots of listening games such as listening for the initial phonic sounds in words
  • made valentines cards
  • enjoyed role play
  • listened to a lot of stories
  • enjoyed riding the bikes and scooters in the garden

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah and Amy
