Weekly Blog: 17th November
 Our theme of the week has been where food comes from. Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:
- learning about different food groups and where they come from, grow or madee
- learning about the festival Diwali and making artwork based on rangoli patternse
- looking at logos and recognising these familiar wordse
- focusing on positional languagee
- singing nursery rhymes and enjoyed action songse
- lots of mark making and hand writing practice
- matching numicon to numerals and practising number recognition *pouring and spooning rice into different cupse
- lots of stories, listening games and looking at bookse
- lots of listening gamese
- painting with bubble wrap and then making different noises by jumping on bubble wrap
- talking about food around the world and what we would like to try
- sticking pictures with past
- talking about animals and how they help produce food
- playing food bingo
- lots of free art, the children have chosen painting, colouring and gluing among other things this week
As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the
children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's
key person if you would like to have further information about your
child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person
for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback
on how your child is progressing.
