This week the children have been keen and lively and have enjoyed Valentines craft this week.

Activities have included:

• listening to our story of the week: Dinosaur Roar
• making valentines wreaths, love bugs and various themed craft
• counting out numbers in a group and focusing on reviewing numbers to ten
• playing with dinosaurs on our dinosaur tuff tray
• practicing recognising our letter sound of the week:d
• after researching dinosaurs we created an excavation tray with sand and dinosaur bones and when the children dug them out of the tray they matched and measured them
• singing the jolly phonics songs and developing our recognition of letters and letter sounds
• playing counting games such as counting pictures and pegging the correct number noted from a selection underneath the pictures
• listening to stories such as Handas Surprise which was followed with games such as 'guess the animals that took the fruit' and pretending to be an animal from the book
• learning about the shape of the week: a kite. Also making kites at the craft table.
• lots of listening games, stories and action songs
• lots of mark making and outdoor play in the sand and water areas

Thank you to the parents who contributed to our Valentines raffle, we raised £21!

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and are welcome to book a time for a chat.

NOTICE: We are aiming to recruit new Trustees so that we can have a handover period with our remaining Trustees to help with continuity.
