Weekly Blog: 29nd January 2021
This week has been a snowy one and the children have enjoyed playing in
the garden and appreciating the fun that can be had making snowmen and
snowballs.
There have been a lot of activities this week focusing as usual on the
seven areas of development as well as focusing on the childrens
interests.
This week we have:
- sorted healthy and unhealthy foods
- learnt about the life cycle of a chicken
- talking about what makes us happy
- playing in the snow!
- mark making
- lots of listening games
- making up a rap as part of a rhyming phonics activity
- making up a dance
- painting
- recognising a number, finding the matching number on our mystery box
and then completing an action that was placed inside the numbered drawer
- using the wipe boards and name cards, copying one letter at a time to
guess whose name we were writing
- guess the missing object in our mystery game
- painting with different textures
- read the story Goldilocks and the three bears followed by an activity
where there are cards held up and the children have to see what is on
the card and do the action
- phonics songs
- playing instruments to make sounds that link to a story
- action songs
- action games
- made name place mats
- lots of outdoor fun
We hope that you all stay safe and well and we look forward to seeing
you next week.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Amy.
