Weekly Blog: 7th May 2021

It has been a shorter week with the bank holiday Monday but we have still been very busy and there has been a lot of activities..

This week we have:
  • Talked about the weather and the seasons of the year during circle time
  • Completed a lot of phonics activities including matching objects to initial letter sounds
  • Played a guess the missing object mystery game
  • Focused on using prepositions when describing objects and the relation to their position in a picture
  • We sorted lots of objects according to colours and shapes
  • A lot of child initiated craft
  • Using tweezers to scoop crispies and oats into cake cases
  • Completed a lot of listening games
  • Sang songs and enjoyed action songs
  • Used compare bears and numicon to develop our counting skills
  • Counting groups of children and finding out if we had more boys or girls
  • Made up our own story and drew pictures of them
  • Listened to lots of stories and rhymes, rhyming games and discussing the structure of stories and drawing pictures of characters or scenes in a story we have listened to

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah, Jackie and Amy
