This week we have been getting into the Christmas spirit as well as:

• having lots of Christmas craft fun and making Christmas decorations
• enjoying lots of singing Christmas songs
• enjoying shopping in our role play supermarket
• discussing healthy food and how they effect our teeth and how to look after them
• the children enjoyed role playging their favourite stories such as 'going on a bear hunt'
• at one of our group times we enjoyed verbal story telling with the children telling me what was going to happen next
• lots of glitter and paint fun
• dancing!
• going on a shape hunt
• practised our mark making but writing in cards and on shopping lists
• gathering the chairs together and pretending to go on a bus
• experimented building with 3d wooden shapes and duplo
• looked at recognising and ordering numerals
• completed our daily calendar, sang our hello song and days of the week song and talked about the weather and seasons
  

NOTICE: We apologise for the cancellation of our Christmas event on the 11th. We hope to have a fun event in the future. Many thanks to Charlotte Massey and her team who have made the items that we have been selling at the door. Thank you also to everyone who has donated raffle prizes. The Christmas items you have purchased along with the raffle tickets and donations have raised over £300 so far! Thank you so much, all funds will go straight back to playgroup for resources for the children. There is still time to buy raffle tickets, we will be drawing the raffle on Wednesday.

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
