Weekly Blog: 21st January 2022
This week the children have been really interest in the topic of Space and we have enjoyed a lot of activities which have included:
  • reading the story 'whatever next' and re enacting the story with props
  • ring games outside
  • reading 'aliens love underpants' and following this lots of linked games including hunting for clean pants, matching pant, designing pants and pegging pants!
  • hunting for and creating patterns with 2d and 3d shapes
  • looking at and recognising logos
  • phonics one games such as matching objects
  • story rhymes and also making stories up with puppets
  • making rockets with junk modelling
  • playing in a blackout den with torches
  • ordering space pictures into size order
  • matching numbers and singing number rhymes and songs
  • using the wipe boards for mark making and forming letters
  • singing and musical instruments
  • lots of gluing, painting, cutting and crafting in the art area

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah, Jackie and Amy
