Weekly Blog: 11th March 2022
This week we have been busy searching out the signs of Spring and we have spent a lot of time outside.
As well as this we have:
  • been on a spring hunt in the garden looking for Spring pictures and objects that were displayed out in the garden
  • read the story Handas Hen, counted the animals and then cut out shapes to make a hen picture
  • looking at the daffodils on the tuff tray and drawing pictures of them
  • lot of painting and colour mixing
  • lots of singing, stories and rhymes
  • played a lot of listening games
  • measured and counted dinosaur bones
  • there has been a lot of independent craft again this week using various skills and resources
  • some of the children have practised writing and recognising their names
  • used compare bears to match size and colour, count them and match numeral to quantity
  • lots of mark making
  • lots of imaginative play in the construction area
  • singing, dancing and musical instruments have continued to be popular

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing. Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah, Jackie and Amy
