Alongside this we have:

  • read the book: Mr wolfs pancakes, learnt about why there is a pancake day and all about how to make pancakes
  • played in tents
  • enjoyed lots of action songs
  • we celebrated world book day, dressed up and read our favourite stories
  • learnt about hair care while playing hairdressers
  • learnt about the origins of pancake day, learnt about how to make them and talked about our favourite toppings
  • played a lot of listening games including sleeping sheep and Albert meets everyone
  • played counting dinosaurs and matching them to the correct numeral
  • made crowns after reading the smartest giant in town
  • there has been a lot of independent craft this week using various skills and resources
  • some of the children have practised writing their names
  • made daffodil cards and daffodil pictures
  • used compare bears to match size and colour, count them and match numeral to quantity
  • after reading Mr wolfs pancakes the children made their own pancake ingredient shopping list
  • as a group we learnt about repeating patterns
  • lots of mark making
  • measuring length using dinosaur bones
  • lots of dressing up and imaginative play
  • singing, dancing and musical instruments have continued to be popular

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing. Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah, Jackie and Amy
