Weekly Blog: 7th June 2024
A new term focusing on transition and independence. Our theme of the week has been focused on life on the farm.
Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:
  • talking about what animals live on the farm
  • playing with farm small world
  • building homes for animals with construction blocks
  • looking at farm animal books
  • drawing pictures of animals, the farm and labelling them
  • cutting and sticking farm pictures
  • matching animal games
  • learning about what grows on the farm and where food comes from
  • painting with farm vehicles
  • moving like farm animals in an action game
  • counting farm animals
  • what sounds do farm animals make? Guessing the farm animal
  • phonics games and reading practice continue
  • matching numerals to the correct number of objects and maths activities continue
  • lots of fun painting, sticking, gluing and mark making fun
  • lots of circle time and small group games

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Claire, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
