Weekly Blog: 14th June 2024
This term we are focusing on transition and independence. Our theme of the week has been focused on life on the farm.
Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:
  • watching our eggs hatch into chicks, we now have ten chicks to look after :)
  • learning about the life cycle of a chicken
  • chicken facts
  • made paper plate chickens
  • counting eggs
  • role playing being a chick
  • drawing pictures of the chicks and labelling them
  • phonics games and reading practice continue
  • matching numerals to the correct number of objects and maths activities continue
  • lots of fun painting, sticking, gluing and mark making fun
  • lots of circle time and small group games
  • lots of phonics, please see some ideas of what to do at home

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Claire, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
