Weekly Blog: 21st June 2024

This week our focus has been on the chicks we have observed hatching at playgroup. The experience has been amazing and the children have really enjoyed watching the chicks hatch, helping to look after them and handle them carefully.
Some of the other things the children have enjoyed doing include:
  • lots of chicken based fun activities, copying chick themed words, drawing them and lots of other fun activities
  • phonics games and reading practice continue
  • matching numerals to the correct number of objects and maths activities continue
  • lots of fun painting, sticking, gluing and mark making fun
  • lots of circle time and small group games
  • lots of phonics, please see some ideas of what to do at home
  • puzzles, stories, songs and rhymes

Chesterton Playgroup As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes, Julia, Claire, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
