This December we will focus on learning about Christmas around the world and enjoying lots of festivities. This week we focused on Advent.

Activities we have done include:

• going for a walk to the church to see the Christmas advent candles and nativity scene
• lots of Christmas painting
• learning about Advent
• making Christmas wreaths
• making Christmas trees
• jolly phonic songs and singing nursery rhymes
• playing Christmas games involving counting, phonics, shapes, matching pairs and listening skills
• lots of fun role play
• Christmas yoga
• music, movement and action songs
• made angels
• segmented and blended three letter phonic words
• mark making and pencil control activities
• counting sheets
• lots of fun!
