This week we have had a weekly topic all based on the book: Sharing a Shell. We have:
  • talked about sharing
  • added sea creatures to our display board
  • played with shells and puppets in sand
  • enjoyed a lot of water and sand play
  • played sharing a shell lotto
  • talked about water safety
  • enjoyed a floating and sinking experiment in water
  • enjoyed phonics activities and listening games
  • matched the number of shells to numbered footprints
  • practised our cutting skills and mark making
  • enjoyed counting and number games and rhymes
  • played parachute games
  • numbered pictures and practised number formation
  • listened to initial sounds
  • enjoyed sharing the shell craft
  • moved to music and enjoyed action songs
  • enjoyed dancing and listening to music
  • had lots of stories, looked at books and had a lot of fun in the craft area painting, drawing and sticking

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa,
Hannah and Amy
