Weekly Blog: 8th September 2023
Welcome to our new academic year! We have had a great first week back saying "hello" to old faces and new and the sunshine has been a fantastic start as well to our new term.
This week we have been settling in back into the routine and begun our topic 'all about me'. We have:
  • enjoyed circle times with stories and songs and introduced ourselves to each other
  • enjoyed listening games
  • investigated the environment and enjoyed playing with the toys and equipment. Animals, cars and puppets have been a strong weekly choice.
  • learnt about ourselves and each other.
  • learnt about how to respect each other and make friends
  • drawn self portraits and enjoyed a lot of drawing, sticking and painting
  • discussed our emotions and how to recognise them in ourselves and others
  • had fun dressing up
  • enjoyed counting and number games and rhymes
  • moved to music and enjoyed action songs
  • enjoyed dancing and listening to music
  • had a lot of fun outside, in particular in our big sandpit had lots of stories, looked at books and had a lot of fun in the craft area painting, drawing and sticking

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Hannah, Lisa and Adam
