Weekly Blog: 15th September 2023
The fantastic start to the new term is continuing and we have had another busy and full week.
This week we have been continuing our topic 'all about me'. Our theme of the week has been communication and language skills. Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:
-
listening games
- speech and language games
- a memory game where the children would guess the missing item from six objects
- a game focused on positional language 'where is the leopard?'
- action songs and games such as I-Spy and Simon says
- learning about Rosh Hashanah at circle time
- talking about how we are kind to each other, we began our kindness tree display board and enjoyed a lot of drawing, sticking and painting
- maaking cards to send to friends
- playing musical instruments and singing songs
- role playing tea parties
- making super constructions with duplo
- modelling with play dough
- playing with dinosaurs
- having fun dressing up
- counting and number games and rhymes, had a lot of fun outside, in particular in our big sandpit, balancing on beams, hula hooping and throwing and catching balls
As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
