Weekly Blog: 6th October 2023
This week we have been continuing our topic 'all about me'.
Our theme of the week has been Understanding the world. Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:
  • phonics and forming letters on wipe boards
  • decorating tent pictures for Sukkot
  • going on a nature walk at the primary school
  • music and movement, dancing and action songs
  • modelling with play dough
  • exploring our nature table
  • talking about what jobs people in our family do and drawing pictures of our families
  • sticking with different colours and shapes
  • practising our pencil control and enjoying fine motor activities such as threading
  • enjoying hammering shapes with tap-a-shape
  • talking about the life cycle of a plant and cut out pictures to represent a life cycle
  • talking about the differences in people and what makes them special
  • making artistic pictures with natural materials
  • making crowns after reading the smartest giant in town by Julia Donaldson

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
