Weekly Blog: 29th September 2023
This week we have been continuing our topic 'all about me'.
Our theme of the week has been Expressive arts and design. Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:
  • investigating different textures and describing them
  • finger painting
  • negotiating space in the garden on bikes and scooters
  • music and movement, dancing and action songs
  • colour sorting and matching
  • junk modelling and expressing ideas
  • painting rainbows
  • sticking with different colours and shapes
  • practising our pencil control
  • making patterns and exploring sensory play with shaving foam
  • making patterns with rice
  • mark making and making patterns with glitter and chalk
  • practising our cutting skills
  • role playing tea parties and princesses

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
