Weekly Blog: 12th January 2024
Our theme of the week has been ourselves and our families, focusing on emotions and behaviour.
Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:

  • describing emotions
  • practicing writing names
  • painting, drawing, gluing and chalking
  • reading a lot of stories
  • singing nursery rhymes and enjoyed action songs
  • lots of mark making and hand writing practice
  • playing with trains, cars and dinosaurs
  • talking about our Christmas holidays
  • cutting practice at the craft table
  • phonics activities including matching letters and focusing on three letter phonic words
  • maths activities including counting and number recognition games
  • lots of puzzle
  • painting with different textures
  • ordering numbers to 10
  • talking about different behaviours and emotions

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing. Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes, Julia, Claire, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
