Weekly Blog: 23rd February 2024
Our theme of the week has been focused on personal, social and emotional skills as well as communication and language skills.
Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:
  • various listening games
  • playing in our mud kitchen
  • looking at our reflections and talking about feelings and emotions
  • playing with mood monster puppets
  • talking about and drawing what makes us happy
  • enjoying action games, dancing and singing
  • lots of mark making and hand writing practice
  • drawing different emotions and creating a display board
  • talking about our families and drawing pictures of them
  • talking about how to get along with each other and what makes a good friend
  • matching numbers to quantity
  • role playing in our spa and caring for each other and ourselves
  • lots of child initiated play and free art
  • recognising logos
  • handwriting practice
  • lots of encouraging independent skills and good hygiene

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing. Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Claire, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
