Weekly Blog: 22nd March 2024
Our theme of the week has been focused on expressive arts and design.
Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:
  • role playing doctors in our doctors area
  • making a junk model castle for our small world toys
  • looking at, naming and exploring different textures
  • mixing colours and experimenting with paint including pictures based on cubism
  • playing with musical instruments
  • using puppets to talk about emotions and feelings
  • lots of dancing and action songs
  • lots of listening games
  • playing with dolls and small world
  • phonics and literacy activities and games
  • modelling with play dough
  • playing with sensory things such as shaving foam, pasta, glitter
  • lots of outside fun in the garden
  • enjoying stories and looking at books

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Claire, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
