Weekly Blog: 20th September 2019
This week we have been very busy with the children, inside and outside.
We have:
- been very imaginative, role playing pirates and pretending to travel in rockets. This learning extended into pirate stories, pirate art and singing pirate songs
- been very keen on constructing this week and have built houses, ramps and boats out of giant wooden blocks and giant duplo
- been encouraging the children to fill in blanks during story time
- discussed Autumn and the changes that happen in the season and created an Autumn display board
- practised our counting skills with games and activities and also recognising numbers
- looked at interesting items on our curiosity table
- played a jumping frog maths games
- played listening games
- practised finding shapes in the environment and recognising shapes
- crafted with glue, paint, ink stampers and lots of mark making
- played the 'odd one out' game
After such a busy week we hope you have a restful weekend!
We look forward to seeing you all next week.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Jackie and Amy
