Weekly Blog: 20th September 2019
This week we have been very busy with the children, inside and outside.

We have:

  • been very imaginative, role playing pirates and pretending to travel in rockets. This learning extended into pirate stories, pirate art and singing pirate songs
  • been very keen on constructing this week and have built houses, ramps and boats out of giant wooden blocks and giant duplo
  • been encouraging the children to fill in blanks during story time
  • discussed Autumn and the changes that happen in the season and created an Autumn display board
  • practised our counting skills with games and activities and also recognising numbers
  • looked at interesting items on our curiosity table
  • played a jumping frog maths games
  • played listening games
  • practised finding shapes in the environment and recognising shapes
  • crafted with glue, paint, ink stampers and lots of mark making
  • played the 'odd one out' game

After such a busy week we hope you have a restful weekend!

We look forward to seeing you all next week.

Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Jackie and Amy
