Weekly Blog: 22nd November 2019
This week the children have continued to be frolicsome and spirited in their play. Activities have included:

  • listening to our story of the week, sharing a shell, and using the linked items on the literacy shelf which included stick puppets, story sequencing cards, lotto and a basket of shells
  • learning about road safety every day due to it being road safety week. We looked at pictures, discussed safety at circle time and practised crossing the road with an adult
  • enjoying the story Handas surprise and practising being the animals in the story and guessing which animal took a particular piece of fruit
  • continuing to develop our physical skills through a few yoga sessions. The children are really enjoying this
  • lots of listening games, dancing and singing
  • the children have been taking it in turns to hold a story book for the group while the audio cd narrates it, they have really enjoyed this activity
  • learning about our shape of the week, a circle. We have drawn it, named it and found it in the environment as well as played a few other games
  • parking the correct number of cars in the numbered parking bays
  • matching our phonics bean bags to letter cards on our tuff tray
  • making tea in our role play tea shop area
  • learning our letter of the week s and our number of the week: 1
  • being very creative at the art table
As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your childs key person if you would like to have further information about your childs interests and progress.
