  • Played with model animals and created stories with them
  • Built an obstacle course in the garden
  • Enjoyed a lot of imaginative role play
  • Dug a huge hole in the garden and then mixed mud with water to make "cement" to plaster our foam bricks with
  • Pretended to also build a house
  • Learnt about Earth Day and talked about how we can care for the earth and our environment
  • We learnt about Earth as a whole planet after looking at it on google earth and learnt about it's place in the solar system
  • Built a lot with building blocks and duplo
  • Enjoyed a lesson based on prepositions where the children had to describe where an object was in a picture
  • Phonics activities as well as a lot of mark making and singing phonic songs
  • Fine motor activities to help develop strength in fingers, these included linking chains, tweezers, using pegs and popping bubble wrap
  • Water play, pouring, funnelling and scooping
  • Lots of drawing, painting and practising cutting skills

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah, Jackie and Amy
