Weekly Blog: 18th June 2021

It has been a busy week at playgroup and some of the children have been talking about their transition to primary school. Exciting times are ahead for our older children and we are enjoying supporting them in their next steps in their education.

This week we have:
  • *learnt about healthy food, learning about it at circle time and sorting healthy and unhealthy food
  • learnt about how we can stay healthy
  • made many things out of play dough
  • read stories such as 'Olivers vegetables' and 'apples are magic' to learn about where food comes from
  • played listening games
  • enjoyed playing with the sand and water outside
  • watched a short three min video about how important it is to eat healthy foods
  • played many phonics games including parachute games and finding objects by listening to the letter sounds
  • made Fathers day pictures
  • had a food tasting activity and talked about healthy and unhealthy food while doing this
  • played football in the garden and talked about Euro 2020
  • made a giant caravan with the big tyres in the garden
  • had fun with craft materials, gluing, painting and cutting
  • had lots of fun dressing up

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah, Jackie and Amy
