Weekly Blog: 17th September 2021
Chesterton PlaygroupThis week we have had a fun and busy week with the children and have even started preparing for Christmas by designing our Christmas cards that can be ordered from Cauliflower Cards (further information is available on this and if you have any queries please speak to a member of the staff team)

This week we have:
  • enjoyed catching bubbles in the garden and balloons
  • played hide and seek with the staff in the garden and games such as 'What's the time Mr Wolf?'
  • enjoyed various crafting such as drawing, sponge painting and gluing
  • enjoyed messy play at our tuff tray table using jelly baff
  • enjoyed marked making at our tuff tray table writing cards and labelling envelopes
  • focused on music and movement activities and games and also played with the musical instruments
  • had group activities focused on initial phonics and listening to sounds through listening games
  • talked to each other in group circle times and introduced ourselves and talked about our weekend
  • enjoyed ring games and rhymes
  • played ball games and basketball
  • listened to stories
  • enjoyed playing in the sandpit and exploring the outside area
  • enjoyed constructing with blocks and duplo

NOTICE: Due to recent changes in bookings this week we have a few free sessions left available this year in the afternoons. If you would like to book your child in for now, or next term, please email Julia as soon as possible at admin@chestertonplaygroup.org.uk.
Please could you also bring in a photo of your child having fun in the holidays or at the weekend, with or without family. We are hoping to make a photo book for the children that they can look at in the reading area and it will provide a great talking point for them to show their new friends their pictures.
As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah, Jackie and Amy
