Weekly Blog: 24th September 2021
This week we have had a fun and creative week with lots of outside play.

This week we have:
  • learnt about the mid-Autumn Chinese festival of the moon
  • enjoyed some music and movement while dancing and playing with musical instruments
  • in the craft area the children have participated in paper crafts, free art and created Autumn paintings after listening to an Autumn story
  • enjoyed making marks in glitter sand on our tuff tray
  • we also had fun mark making in shaving foam
  • outside we made a den for the children which they enjoy playing in
  • we have had group activities focused on initial phonics including our letter bean bag game
  • building structures with giant duplo
  • outside the children have also been busy riding bikes and scooters
  • the children have listened to lots of stories and enjoyed looking at the texture books

NOTICE: Due to recent changes in bookings this week we have a few free sessions left available this year in the afternoons. If you would like to book your child in for now, or next term, please email Julia as soon as possible at admin@chestertonplaygroup.org.uk.

Please could you also bring in a photo of your child having fun in the holidays or at the weekend, with or without family. We are hoping to make a photo book for the children that they can look at in the reading area and it will provide a great talking point for them to show their new friends their pictures.

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah, Jackie and Amy
