We have continued our topic for November of fairy tales. In December we will focus on learning about Christmas around the world and enjoying lots of festivities. This week we focused on The Three Little Pigs.

Activities we have done include:

• we have learnt about remembrance day and made poppys and a wreath and observed a minutes silence
• read the story the three little pigs and counted pictures and objects and retold the story with puppets
• made pig masks
• cutting activities
• number matching numeral and quantity
• phonics initial sounds listening game
• jolly phonic songs and singing nursery rhymes
• lots of puzzles
• listening and attention games
• made three little pig houses out of construction
• made a three little pigs picture with straw, cardboard and brown paper for bricks
• investigated magnetic letters and found the letters in our name
• played with the small world farm
• walked around the village and played i spy
• modelled with play dough
• developed letter recognition
• dressed up for children in need and raised some money for the charity
