We have just completed two weeks on the fun topic of 'Superheroes'.

Activities we have done include:

• making superhero masks
• superhero colouring
• superhero paintings
• superhero tuff tray matching numeral to quantity
• superhero yoga
• jolly phonic songs and singing nursery rhymes
• learning about the superheroes who work in our community
• talking about who is our hero and drawing a picture of them
• music, movement and action songs
• learning about being a caring superhero and looking after our environment
• mark making and pencil control activities
• learning about sorting rubbish and recycling
• learning about superhero bees, why they are important and how to care for them
• lots of name recognition activities and name writing practice
• tidying our own garden *listening games
• rhyming games
• counting games
• learning about the superhero power of kindness and how to be nice to other people
• lots of discussion on feelings, emotions and recognising different facial expressions
• making super shield pictures of what we are good at
• a focus on 2d shapes and their properties
• lots of stories and looking at books
