Parent Information: Pupil Premium
From April 2015, nurseries, schools, childminders and other childcare providers will be able to claim extra funding through the Early Years Pupil Premium to support children's development, learning and care. This is a voluntary funding scheme that you can apply for if you believe your child is entitled to extra funding. Certain criteria is required and 3 and 4-year-olds in funded early education will be eligible for EYPP funding if they meet at least one of the following criteria:
Children will be eligible from the term after their third birthday, in line with the universal entitlement to free early education for three and four year olds, which they should be taking up. The Early Years Pupil Premium provides an extra amount of funding per hour for three and four year old children whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits or who have been in care or adopted from care. This means the setting could receive an extra £300 plus a year for each child taking up the full 570 hours funded entitlement to early education. This additional money goes straight to the pre-school who will be able to utilise the extra funding in order to benefit your child's education. If you believe you may be eligible please speak to Adam Couling, Administrator, who will be happy to help you. Further information can be found on the Oxfordshire County Council Website.
