About Us

Chesterton Playgroup is held in Chesterton Village Hall, serving the children of Bicester, Bucknell, Chesterton, Middleton Stoney, Wendlebury, Weston on the Green and beyond. If you are looking for a friendly day time child care solution in a picturesque village setting then please contact us to arrange a visit.

Chesterton Playgroup was first established in 1974. We cater for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old. We provide a warm friendly environment where children can play, learn and discover with innovative up to date technology, equipment and traditional toys. As a charitable organisation, we are financed by fees, the Early years education funded scheme and fund-raising events.

We believe that children should grow, learn and develop in a stimulating, friendly, caring and safe environment where each child is treated as an individual.

We have a minimum of three trustees who are volunteers and oversee the running of playgroup. Without the Trustees the playgroup could not run.

Our staff liaise closely with our local school, Chesterton C of E Primary and we often arrange visits between ourselves and the Foundation class at the school.
