Weekly Blog: 30th March 2023
This week we have had a weekly topic all based around minibeasts. We have:

  • learnt about the life cycles of a ladybird and parts of a snail, spider, bees and worms. We have had circle times learning about these minibeast and activities linked to each minibeast
  • the children have been introduced to lots of new vocabulary while learning about different features of the minibeasts
  • there has been a lot of pencil control and mark making activities
  • our tuff tray activities have been a minibeast sensory try and also a shape matching activity
  • there has been a lot of number songs, action songs and rhymes
  • we have had lots of fun learning about prepositions
  • there has been a lot of cutting practice
  • we have talked about caring for our environment and looking after minibeast homes
  • the children have also learnt about Easter, made Easter cards and made Easter cakes
  • the children have ordered pictures of worms from shortest to longest
  • we have enjoyed phonics activities and songs
  • there has been a lot of mark making
  • had lots of stories, songs and outside time and a lot of fun in the craft area painting, drawing and sticking

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah and Amy
