Weekly Blog: 21st April 2023
This week we have had a weekly topic all based around maths and our book of the week has been Goldilocks and the three bears. We have:

  • talked about what we did in the holidays at circle time
  • balanced on buckets and balance beams outside
  • talked about our rules and reinforced boundaries
  • role played Goldilocks and the three bears
  • enjoyed yoga
  • did a lot of follow up Easter craft
  • looked at patterns, recognising what they were, matching patterns and finishing repeating patterns
  • number recognition activities and matching numeral to quantity
  • looked at more and less and encouraged mathematical language such as more and less, shortest and longest etc
  • looked at the properties of shapes and named them
  • we have enjoyed phonics activities and songs
  • there has been a lot of mark making
  • had lots of stories, songs and outside time and a lot of fun in the craft area painting, drawing and sticking

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah and Amy
