This week we have had a weekly topic all based around literacy and our book of the week has been Going on a Bear Hunt.

We have:

• reacted going on a bear hunt outside practised writing our names
• made playdough
• listened for sounds with musical instruments
• talked about our emotions
• clapping out the syllables in our names
• looked at rhyming words
• read oi frog and talked about the words that rhyme
• we have enjoyed phonics activities and songs
• there has been a lot of mark making and emergent writing
• sung a lot of nursery rhymes
• had lots of stories, songs and outside time and a lot of fun in the craft area painting, drawing and sticking

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
