Weekly Blog: 5th May 2023
This week we have had a weekly topic all based around the Coronation and our book of the week has been Peppa Pig and the Coronation.
We have:
- learnt the national anthem
- found out facts about King Charles 3
- practised curtseying or bowing to the King
- practised our royal wave
- found gems in sand
- talked about what we would do if we were King or Queen
- designed crowns
- had numbers on crowns and matched them to the correct number of blocks
- talked about Westminster Abbey and looked at other London landmarks
- made flags
- learnt about the union jack
- had lots of outside time
- sung a lot of nursery rhymes
- had lots of stories, songs and outside time and a lot of fun in the craft area painting, drawing and sticking
As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the
children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's
key person if you would like to have further information about your
child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person
for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback
on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa,
Hannah and Amy
