Weekly Blog: 22nd September 2023
Chesterton PlaygroupThis week we have been continuing our topic 'all about me'. Our theme of the week has been Physical skills. Some of the things the children have enjoyed doing include:
  • lots of outdoor play and using our sports equipment
  • speech and language games
  • negotiating space in the garden on bikes and scooters
  • music and movement, dancing and action songs
  • ball play outside
  • fine motor activities including tweezing pom poms
  • creative building with stickle bricks
  • practising our cutting skills
  • singing songs and nursery rhymes
  • role playing tea parties and princesses
  • playing with dinosaurs and counting them
  • threading beads and making necklaces
  • making shape pictures with lolly sticks
  • practising our pencil control
  • lots of free art including painting and sticking
As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing.
Hoping you all have a lovely weekend. Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Hannah, Lisa, Jackie and Adam
